
John Morgan Named New President and CEO of Hill+Knowlton Asia Region

Edelman has joined the #GivingTuesday initiative as part of their global citizenship program. The company also announced the results of a broader such initiative launched earlier this year, the 603 global citizenship initiative to support hunger and poverty alleviation as a way of celebrating its 60th anniversary. From July 16 through September 13, the company’s employees in over 60 offices worldwide were involved in 60 days of professional and general volunteerism and fundraising. Edelman managed to contribute USD 1,047,352 in monetary and in-kind donations to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and over 70 hunger and poverty nonprofit organizations worldwide.

UK tech consultancy Liberty Communication announced that it will open a New York operation at the beginning of 2013, and another US office later on. The 14 years old agency, which focuses mainly on technology and mobile, is in the process of recruiting a US team. The firm also mentioned that it will handle a number of clients in the USA, but didn’t disclose their names as of yet.

Christiaan Brown joined the world’s largest public relations firm, Edelman, as a senior vice president at the Seattle Technology practice, where he will report to leader Troy McCombs. Ogilvy PR appointed Brian Maloney and Margie Fox as managing directors in its US consumer marketing practice, positions they will effectively occupy starting early 2013. Fox was also named US creative director for the consumer practice, while Maloney will be the leader of the New York consumer marketing group.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies appointed Mylene Mangalindan as Senior Vice President of Media Relations. She will work with corporate and technology practice groups and she will report to Paul Turner, EVP and General Manager of H+K San Francisco, while working out of the firm’s San Francisco office.
