Texas Capitol Gift Shop Issues Advertising RFP The State Preservation Board (SPB), a State of Texas government agency, is soliciting proposals for digital advertising services to support product promotion during the 2018 holiday season for the agency's retail storefronts ‐ the Capitol Gift Shops http://www.texascapitolgiftshop.com/ and the Bullock Texas State History Museum Store http://store.bullockmuseum.org/. Services requested include paid search advertising, keyword targeting, re‐marketing, Geo‐fencing, local radio advertising placement, and social media advertising.

Background:

The SPB preserves and maintains the Texas Capitol, the Capitol Extension, the 1857 General Land Office Building, other designated buildings, their contents and their grounds; provides facilities and grounds keeping services for the Texas Governor's Mansion; and operates the Bullock Texas State History Museum. The agency provides educational programs centered on Texas history. Included in the agency's mandate is the operation of retail and online gift shops. These enterprise operations provide a valuable source of revenue to fund agency programs. The goal of this project is to increase the retail websites' visibility through paid search, to include keyword research and display advertising, search engine marketing and optimization, and social media advertising in an overall effort to increase online sales.
