TruePoint Communications: Living Up to Its Name

For the third year in a row, Dallas, Texas-based TruePoint Communications, has been named to the Inc 5000 list. The listing recognizes TruePoint for being among the fastest-growing privately-owned firms in the US. In addition to that honor, PR News recently named TruePoint one of its Agency Elite Top 100 to recognize the most innovative PR and communications agencies in the business.

Some of the agency’s previous awards also included 2019 AMA DFW Marketer of the Year for New Product/Service Launch (KIZIK: Launching a New Type of Handsfree Footwear) and Retail Marketing Division (Boardroom Building a Multi-Unit Regional Brand) and PR Dailies Content Marketing Awards for Customer Engagement (AT&T Super Saturday Night) and Influencer Content Marketing Awards (KIZIK Nordstrom Launch). Boardroom Building a Multi-Unit Regional Brand also garnered TruePoint a Dallas Pegasus Award for marketing/communications from PRSA’s fifth largest chapter in the US.

According to Z Directories, TruePoint’s annual revenue is in excess of $2 million. It also reported that the firm had 26 employees.

Services

With its integrated array of services, TruePoint serves clients across the US with its focus on public relations, e-PR, digital marketing, social media strategy, corporate communications, crisis and issues management, brand development and storytelling, and blogger relations. The agency serves a diverse- sized clientele, from start-ups to publicly-traded billion-dollar brands.

Clients

Some of TruePoint’s clients are household names like Mary Kay Cosmetics, AT&T, Sally Beauty, Jamba Juice, Naturalizer, Belk, and Famous Footwear. With TruePoint’s help, others like Kizik not only became well-known but are available almost everywhere today.

As a rapidly-growing agency, TruePoint seems to always be seeking more help. Glassdoor recently listed openings for five positions there. And because of its venue, some positions require people who are bilingual and can also speak Spanish.

Of 18 reviews on Glassdoor from former and current employees, TruePoint was rated three or average on a five-point scale. Its president, Jessica Nunez, was given a 61% approval rating. A former employee who had started as an intern and was promoted to a leadership role over her seven-year tenure spoke highly of the opportunities there and highly praised Nunez for encouraging and motivating her employees.

Leadership

TruePoint’s founder and president, Jessica Nunez, is a native of Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in communications. When she started the firm in 2009, she already had a deep background in numerous areas of marketing and public relations and had served in leadership roles with Fleishman Hillard and AT&T.

For 20 years, Nunez served as the spokesperson for several brands, including ten years on camera with QVC and the Home Shopping Network. In spite of all the awards the firm’s received, Nunez has said that her aim is to make TruePoint the #1 agency in Texas.
