PR Firms for Authors: Book Launches, Publicity and More

PR Firm Book Launches, Publicity & Authors

Do you need a PR firm or publicist for a book you’ve written? Generally book pr firms do not think outside of the box – and their retainers are 2 to 4 thousand dollars a month — a bargain when looking at larger Public Relations companies, that might be able to produce more for a higher retainer.

Smith Publicity Public Relations Firm - Everything PR

Smith Publicity

Smith’s offices are in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. They have been promoting books and authors since 1997. Over 2,000 authors and thousands of books have benefited from their help and experience. Most of the work they do is with self-published authors.

They work with all genres and have promoted first-time authors as well as traditional New York Times bestselling authors. Smith’s primary goal is to spark awareness of the authors and the books they write. Sometimes they are hired by publishers and sometimes directly by authors. But in either situation, they talk you through the process and help you know what to do from your end, and all they will do for you.

  1. I am a forensic psychologist, and my book was released on June 15, 2021 and is now in bookstores. I’m looking for a PR company to help get the word out there about the book. Any suggestions for firms that wok with forensic specialists who have produced a work for the general public?

    Thanks in advance.

PS – the book is titled Decoding Madness.
