Dodge Communications specializes in healthcare PR with some connections to financial PR as well. Dodge’s headquarters is in Alpharetta, Georgia; the company was founded in 2001 by Brad Dodge and currently have over 60 employees. Dodge is a member of Myelin Communications, and since their inception they’ve helped close to 300 clients to enhance thought leadership, strengthen brands, and increase sales.
Leadership, Clients, and Accolades
Brad Dodge, president and founder of Dodge Communications, started the agency because he wanted to provide all healthcare companies, no matter their size, with the opportunity to grow sustainably. In the 1980s he started in the business by selling practice management systems to doctors and clinics. Over the years he’s worked personally with more than 250 organizations in the healthcare industry, helping them sell their products and services.
Dodge Communications’ current client roster includes more than 100 organizations including Nextgen Health, Ricoh Healthcare, SureScripts, AMGA, and Accountable Care Solutions from Aetna.
In 2015 Dodge Communications was the winner of Atlanta’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For award. Some of their 2016 awards and honors include being on The Holmes Report’s Global Top 250 PR agencies, #3 on Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 20 largest PR firms list, winner of B2B Top Shops, platinum winner for their marketing automation video at the Hermes Awards, and multiple others. Dodge is also a member of PRSA, Forbes Agency, Metro Atlanta Chamber, and others.
Perks and Problems
In reviews from glassdoor.com, several people mentioned extras provided by the company, including that employees can work from home two days per week, hours are shorter during the summer, each employee gets 20 paid days off per year, and beer carts are brought in on Fridays. One person said: “Well this is a place where if you put in 120% it will give back 200%.”
But, like many firms that have been around awhile, they also have some glitches. Some employees mentioned problems with the company not being current in tech and lagging other ways. Others found the work less stimulating, and where some found the teamwork great, others felt it was clique-ish and didn’t push for more individuality.
