Edelman Names Jackie Hopkins Head of Austin Offices

Edelman Edelman's Jackie HopkinsEdelman announced yesterday a new executive vice president and general manager of their Austin, Texas offices. Veteran Edelman exec Jackie Hopkins will head up a tram of some 20 PR professionals. Hopkins, who has been with the firm since 2006, previously focused on Edelman business development out of the Chicago office. In her role as a key relationship building expert, Hopkins already has key contacts and expertise in the Midwest region.  Helen Vollmer, president of the Edelman Southwest, had this to say about Hopkins' appointment: “Jackie’s experience in brand strategy, creative execution and integrated marketing will be a terrific complement to the talented professionals we have in Austin as well as those in Dallas and Houston. With experience in both corporate and consumer, and widespread connections within the global Edelman network, Jackie is a terrific choice in continuing to better serve our regional clients and expand on our growing book of business here in the Southwest.” With past experience in consumer marketing and with lifestyle clients, Hopkins has worked with companies that include;  Target, Lands’ End, Sears and Marshall Field’s, among the many others. As manager of the Austin offices Hopikins will not doubt develop closer relationships with clients such as Edelman’s Austin office serves clients such as AMD, DigitalGlobe, Office of the Governor, Economic Development and Tourism, Builder Homesite, Zilliant, GE ecomagination and Chevron, a few of the office's current clients.
