RF|Binder Desperately Needs PR People Says Email From Recruitor

Holding Company Public Relations

Andrew Gagen of MVP Recruiters e-mailed multiple people at different public relations firms noting that RF|Binder is very understaffed.  One wonders how their clients – and the industry – feels about that.  Probably not the best practice to email that around as a staffing recruiter.

Gagen explains that the agency needs at least 7 people to serve their clients, including these specific opportunities:

PR Opportunity #1: Johnson & Johnson Baby Care

This position will primarily focus on managing the J&J Consumer Baby Care and Wound Care & Topicals work.  Candidates should have integrated marketing communications experience working on large personal care brands i.e. P&G, Unilever, etc.  This is one of the largest accounts within RF|Binder.  This person will serve as a day-to-day client contact and supervisor for multiple account team members.  Candidates should have experience and ability to manage and grow a team.

Ideal candidate has consumer experience working across iconic personal care brands that appeal to parenting, lifestyle, health/wellness and beauty media. This is the ideal role for somebody with a strategic mindset who is passionate about influencer marketing (“Mommy Bloggers”), media relations, product launches, cause campaigns and other integrated communications.

PR Opportunity #2: McGraw Hill Education

This position is strongly focused on thought leadership media for CEO of McGraw Hill and this candidate will be responsible for securing top-tier media coverage for the CEO across print and broadcast outlets.  Candidate must have experience working with top tier business media.  Background in education a plus, not a requirement.  Supervise multiple team members and day-to-day client projects and events to ensure the quality of work.  Review materials (press releases, pitch letters) prepared by team members.

Ideal candidate will have experience working with CEO and strong media contacts across top tier print and broadcast outlets with the ability to develop news/story angles and pitches.  Develop and execute executive thought leadership initiatives that include expert positioning, contributed content, and speaking and awards programs.  Write high-level communications (speeches, op-eds, bylines, statements, key messages). Develop integrated media plans, media strategies, pitch media and direct a team’s pitching efforts.”

Since we think that RF|Binder may not be thrilled with this Everything-PR News note, we did want to share Mr. Gagen’s information for any PR pro who needs a recruiter:
