Spaced Repetition

A learning technique that schedules review of material at increasing intervals over time, exploiting the spacing effect to move knowledge into long-term memory. The pedagogical foundation underneath Duolingo's review mechanic, Anki, Quizlet's Learn mode, and most modern vocabulary-and-fact retention systems.
