Third-Party Endorsement

Third-party endorsement is credibility that comes from an independent source, such as a journalist, analyst or customer, vouching for a brand rather than the brand speaking for itself.

This is the core reason public relations works. A reader trusts a journalist, analyst or customer more than the company talking about itself, which is why earned media carries more credibility than advertising or owned content.
