Media Coverage

Media coverage is the content that news outlets, podcasts, broadcasters and other third-party publishers produce about a company, person or topic, and a press clipping is a saved copy of a published piece of it, compiled into a clip report for a client.

Coverage is the core output of earned media and the basic unit of PR measurement. Quality matters more than volume: the outlet tier, whether the key message appeared, the sentiment and whether the piece links back all change its value.
