Training Data

The body of text, code, and structured information an AI model is trained on — which shapes what the model knows, what it can cite, and how it summarizes any given topic. Distinct from live retrieval, which fills in what the training data missed. The knowledge cutoff is the date the training data ends. Until the next training cycle, anything newer is invisible unless an AI crawler picks it up live.
