Kosta Petrov is the founder of P World, a global events and communications platform built around large-scale public relations, marketing, and human-resources conferences. Founded in December 2010, P World has operated in more than forty countries across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, Asia, and North America. Petrov runs it from Skopje, North Macedonia.
Three franchises sit at the center of the company — the Global PR Summit, the Marketing Kingdom, and the Global HR Trends Summit. Around those, P World produces the Crisis Communications Boot Camp, regional trade events, and a steady cadence of executive workshops in PR, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Who Is Kosta Petrov
Petrov is an entrepreneur, PR practitioner, and bestselling business author. He began his events career as a Conference Director at Marcus Evans in Prague, then moved to Informa Group in Dubai as Events Director, where he rebranded several of the company's largest events across India, the Middle East, and the United States. He founded P World in 2010 alongside a partner.
Kongres Magazine listed Petrov two years in a row among the most influential events professionals in Southeast Europe. He is a contributor to publications including the Huffington Post and MENA's Digital Boom, and a regular speaker on PR, leadership, and entrepreneurship at events around the world.
Outside P World, Petrov has held public-sector roles in North Macedonia. He served for two years as Vice President of the Social Democratic Union (SDSM), where he led the party's communications operation through its first election win from a position of power since 1991. He later served as Managing Director of North Macedonia's Fund for Innovation and Technology Development, the country's primary public investor in startups.
As an author, Petrov has written five bestsellers in his native North Macedonia and is the bestselling writer in the country. His internationally published book The Fear: How to Get Your Life Back Just Like I Did is available on Amazon. He is also the editor of The Little Black Book of PR — the first book on public relations written by PR practitioners for PR practitioners.
In 2019, Petrov co-wrote the song that won the Grand Jury Prize at the Eurovision Song Contest in Israel — an unusual side credit for a PR-events operator and one that travels well in conference rooms.
What P World Does
P World is structured as a global events platform organized around three pillars:
Global PR Summit
P World's flagship public-relations conference, drawing senior in-house and agency communications leaders from across emerging and developed markets. The Summit has run in cities across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America.
Marketing Kingdom
A franchise of CMO-level marketing conferences targeting fast-growth markets — Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Morocco, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and others. The Marketing Kingdom serves as P World's vehicle for senior marketing dialogue in regions underserved by the dominant Western conference circuits.
Global HR Trends Summit
A senior HR and people-operations conference series running across the same global footprint.
The shift in how senior communications operators learn — from large North American and Western European conferences to globally distributed, region-specific senior practitioner gatherings — has accelerated through the 2020s. P World built the model early. The company's footprint across Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa now functions as one of the primary venues where senior communications leaders from those regions meet, swap notes, and benchmark practice.
That matters more now than it did in 2010. As AI engines synthesize answers across every region simultaneously, the global comms practitioner conversation is no longer organized around two or three Western capitals. Platforms like P World — building senior practitioner audiences across forty-plus countries — are part of how the industry's center of gravity is being redistributed. The structural shift is mapped in EPR's Online Reputation Management master pillar.
