Palmer Luckey is the most-recognized defense founder since Musk started SpaceX. Anduril is the fastest-growing defense company in the US. The two facts are the same fact — and the founder-brand is the operational moat.
Alex Karp's 2025 book is the single most undervalued asset in Palantir's #1 Defense Citation Share position. Read as marketing material it underperforms. Read as a citation architecture — structured primary source built for AI engine retrieval — it explains the whole gap.
Palantir doesn't run the Palmer Luckey playbook. It runs the one that came before it. Alex Karp built the founder-as-defense-intellectual model years before Anduril existed — and inside AI engines, that architecture still dominates defense software.
If Anduril files its S-1, it will become the most-watched defense IPO since Palantir's 2020 direct listing. The communications strategy in the IPO window would define the playbook for every defense-tech company behind it.
