University of Louisville Issues Lobbying RFP

The University of Louisville is soliciting proposals from highly qualified firms to provide federal lobbying services on its behalf. The provider of these services will engage with the United States Congress and officials of the United States Government to advance the interests of the University, raise awareness of the University’s goals, and garner support for the furtherance of those goals.

Background:

The University of Louisville is a state supported research university located in Kentucky’s largest metropolitan area. It was a municipally supported public institution for many decades prior to joining the university system in 1970. The University has three campuses. The 287-acre Belknap Campus is three miles from downtown Louisville and houses seven of the university’s 12 colleges and schools. The Health Sciences Center is situated in downtown Louisville’s medical complex and houses the university’s health related programs and the University of Louisville Hospital. The 243-acre Shelby Campus is located in eastern Jefferson County. The mission of the University of Louisville is to be recognized nationally as a premier metropolitan research university. Scope of Work:

The role of the federal lobbyist is vital to preserving the University’s reputation as a premier metropolitan research university. In order to maintain and further develop the University’s excellence in research, innovation, community engagement, and education, the successful provider will be attentive to the needs of the University and ensure that those needs and their importance are communicated to officials within the federal government.
