Billion Dollar Boy: Advisory Board and $100M 2027 Forecast

Billion Dollar Boy Group (BDB Group), the creator-led marketing group behind the agency Billion Dollar Boy, appointed a five-member Advisory Board on 21 October 2026. Deirdre Findlay, Firdaous El Honsali, Nathan McDonald, Phil Wieland and Hughie Phillips will advise on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and brand positioning as the group forecasts global revenue above $100 million in 2027.

Who sits on the Billion Dollar Boy Group Advisory Board?

The Billion Dollar Boy Group Advisory Board has five members who together cover marketing and communications, technology, private equity, financial strategy and branded entertainment. BDB Group announced the appointments in a release issued from London on 21 October 2026.

Findlay served as a board director at Olaplex for nearly six years, including during the brand’s sale to Henkel. In the announcement she said creators are no longer a channel and are instead how consumers discover, evaluate and trust brands. She added that the biggest opportunity for Billion Dollar Boy is to “own creator strategy at the leadership level.”

What will the Advisory Board advise on at BDB Group?

The Billion Dollar Boy Group Advisory Board will advise the leadership team on strategic business decisions across five core areas. These areas include business and brand strategy, technology innovation, financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, and global brand positioning.

  • Business and brand strategy as the group scales its social and creator offering
  • Innovation across services and technology
  • Financial planning
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Brand positioning as the group expands its services and global footprint

Ed East, founder and global chief executive of Billion Dollar Boy, said the board members have already helped guide the group’s first acquisition and its ongoing transformation. He said heavyweights like the five appointees “push us to think bigger.”

One member comes to the table as a former client. El Honsali, chief marketing officer at Noli, said she has seen the quality of Billion Dollar Boy’s strategic thinking and creativity first-hand as a client of the agency.

What has the Advisory Board already helped BDB Group do?

The Billion Dollar Boy Group Advisory Board has already supported two milestones: BDB Group’s acquisition of Creator Authority and the repositioning of Billion Dollar Boy as a global social agency with Creator Instinct®.

Creator Authority is a business-to-business (B2B) creator marketing agency and LinkedIn Marketing Partner, founded by Brendan Gahan and Cassie Jackson. According to BDB Group’s Creator Authority announcement, its clients include Amazon, Adobe, AT&T, IBM and Mastercard. BDB Group said the deal also deepens its United States presence on the West Coast alongside its New York office.

Creator Instinct® is the structured, repeatable approach Billion Dollar Boy uses to help brands think, operate and create like the best creators. The repositioning reflects the agency’s evolution from a creator marketing specialist into a social agency built for the way culture and brands operate today.

How fast is BDB Group growing?

BDB Group reported 24% global revenue growth over the past 12 months and forecasts global revenue above $100 million in 2027. The group attributes the 2027 forecast to the Creator Authority acquisition.

  1. Global revenue grew 24% in the past 12 months.
  2. The average value of client contracts grew 77% in the United Kingdom and 40% in the United States.
  3. Global revenue is forecast to exceed $100 million in 2027.

The group includes three businesses: Billion Dollar Boy, the social agency; FiveTwoNine, a platform and local community for creator entrepreneurs; and Companion, its proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) powered influencer marketing platform.

In 2025, Adweek and The Drum named the Billion Dollar Boy agency Social and Creator Agency of the Year. The agency also became the first creator marketing agency to earn the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) Effectiveness Accreditation, according to the company.

What does the board’s makeup say about BDB Group’s plans?

The Advisory Board’s makeup points to a group that expects to grow through acquisitions as well as organic growth, combining brand and entertainment expertise with direct transaction experience. This reading reflects the published backgrounds of the five appointees rather than an official statement from BDB Group.

Three of the five members have direct deal experience in their published biographies. Findlay served on the Olaplex board through its sale to Henkel. McDonald led We Are Social through two transactions, first a strategic sale and then a private equity sale. Wieland advises on mergers and acquisitions after working as a Bain operating partner, chief executive and chief financial officer.

The other two members support creative and commercial operations. El Honsali brings consumer brand leadership from Unilever, L’Oréal and The Body Shop. Phillips, who runs the film production company MindsEye, advises on branded entertainment, an area where the group launched the Argos mockumentary series Arghaus.

McDonald noted that the combination of agency services, proprietary technology and community creates a compelling value proposition for clients. This structure corresponds directly to Billion Dollar Boy, Companion and FiveTwoNine.

What does this mean for brands, PR teams and agencies?

The Billion Dollar Boy Group Advisory Board appointment signals that creator marketing has matured into a leadership-level business discipline rather than an isolated campaign tactic. The development establishes three shifts for marketing and communications leaders to monitor.

  1. Creator strategy is moving into positioning and product launch planning, which is the point Findlay made in the announcement.
  2. Branded entertainment is becoming part of the creator brief, with long-form content sitting alongside short social posts.
  3. B2B creator work is gaining budget. BDB Group research of 1,000 senior marketers in the United States and United Kingdom found one in five invested in B2B creator marketing in 2026, as reported by The Daily Influence.

Communications teams evaluating agency partners can compare the best influencer marketing agencies and read the Billion Dollar Boy profile. The Creator Operators Directory tracks the creators and platforms these agencies work with. NetInfluencer’s report also covered the announcement on the day it was released.

The central test for the board will arrive in 2027, when BDB Group reports whether the Creator Authority integration delivers on the $100 million revenue projection. Organizations selecting creator partners must evaluate how governance and advisory leadership influence long-term agency capabilities.
