How Lovable Grew to a $13.3B Valuation in Two Years

Lovable reached a $13.3 billion valuation by raising $400 million in a Series C on August 12, 2026, about 13 months after its $1.8 billion Series A in July 2025. The Stockholm-based AI app builder, founded by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin, says users have created more than 60 million projects. TechCrunch reported its annualized run-rate revenue at $500 million in June 2026.

How did Lovable's funding rounds step up from 2025 to 2026?

Lovable's valuation rose from $1.8 billion to $13.3 billion across three rounds in 13 months. Anton Osika, Lovable's co-founder and chief executive officer, built the company from GPT Engineer, an open-source project, and Lovable launched under its own name in November 2024. Fabian Hedin is the co-founder and chief technology officer.

RoundDateAmountValuation
Pre-Series AFebruary 2025$15 millionNot disclosed
Series AJuly 2025$200 million$1.8 billion
Series BDecember 18, 2025$330 million$6.6 billion
Series CAugust 12, 2026$400 million$13.3 billion

The Series B was led by CapitalG, the growth fund of Alphabet, and Menlo Ventures' Anthology fund, according to the deal announcement from law firm Cooley. Strategic investors included NVentures (Nvidia), Salesforce Ventures, Databricks Ventures, Deutsche Telekom's T.Capital, Atlassian Ventures and HubSpot Ventures.

Menlo Ventures led the Series C, with the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, as co-lead. TechNode reported that new investors included Tencent, Balderton Capital, Carmignac and Kaszek Ventures.

How fast did Lovable's revenue and usage grow?

Lovable's annual recurring revenue, which is the yearly value of its active subscriptions, grew from $100 million to a reported $500 million in about 11 months. VKTR reported that Lovable passed $100 million within eight months of launch. At the Series B, AI Business reported $200 million in annual recurring revenue as of November 2025.

Business Insider reported that Lovable disclosed $400 million in March 2026, after $300 million a month earlier. Lovable then told TechCrunch it reached $500 million in annualized run-rate revenue in June, according to the Northeast Times summary of that report.

Usage grew on the same curve. At the Series B, AI Business reported more than 25 million projects created and about 100,000 new projects a day. At the Series C, Lovable said more than 60 million projects had been created and that apps built on the platform draw more than 900 million visits a month.

Why does each Lovable build work as distribution?

Each app built on Lovable is a public web page, so product usage doubles as exposure. Lovable's own figure of 900 million monthly visits to apps built on the platform means a large share of its audience meets the output of the tool before it meets the tool itself. This is Everything-PR's analysis of the company's reported numbers, not a statement from Lovable.

A first-time builder who publishes a live link shows the result and the product in a single post. That is a different mechanism from paid acquisition, because the person doing the promotion is proud of what they made, not paid to say so.

One named example from TechCrunch's reporting, as summarized by the Northeast Times: UK founder Lex Deak built a fashion discovery app called WNTD with Lovable, reportedly saving between £25,000 and £30,000 a month and closing a £3 million funding round. A story like that gives a reader a specific reason to try the tool, which a feature list does not.

What does Lovable's valuation not prove?

Lovable's valuation shows investor demand for AI app builders, not that the business will hold its margins. The Northeast Times reported that some observers on LinkedIn predicted Lovable could follow the path of Airtable, with an exit years from now below today's valuation. That is a forecast from commentators, and nothing in Lovable's disclosed numbers confirms it.

The category is also crowded. VKTR reported that Replit reached a $9 billion valuation in a March 2026 round, which places a direct competitor at about two-thirds of Lovable's August valuation. For a PR team deciding between the tools, the practical comparison is in Lovable vs Bolt vs Replit for marketing teams.

What can PR teams take from Lovable's growth?

A PR team can copy the mechanism, which is giving customers something public to share, without copying the product. Three checks turn that into work.

  1. List what a customer can publish after using your product, such as a live page, a result or a report, and confirm each one carries your name or a link to you.
  2. Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude which tool leads your category, then record which sources each answer names. The method is in how to measure citation share across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini.
  3. Build one public artifact of your own, such as a press room or a campaign microsite, using the prompts in Build PR tools in Lovable.

Lovable's growth rests on one repeatable mechanism: a customer who publishes something proud of their own work promotes the product more credibly than any campaign. A communications team can test that mechanism on its own product before spending on anything else.
