SSPR Founder Steve Simon Passes Away

RIP Steve Simon. The Public Relations community has lost a great. Steve Simon, the Founder and CEO of SSPR, a leading independent PR agency passed away on January 4^th, 2015 in Chicago. Simon was an outspoken visionary in the PR field and his agency has won many awards since it was founded in 1978. The firm maintains offices in Chicago, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Colorado and Indianapolis. Steve commenced his career as press secretary for the mayor of Memphis. He is survived by his wife Linda to whom he was married for 45 years. He was very fond of his children – constantly speaking of them and a perpetual great father to his children, son Geoff and daughter Rachel. He is also survived by grandson Cyrus, and sister Judi. A chapel service will be held Tuesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago, www.anticruelty.com.
