5W AI Communications Moving Its Headquarters to Florida

Firm Already Has 35 People on the Ground; Additional NY Team Relocating; Open to Senior Talent from Other Firms; Five AI & GEO Roles Open Now

5W AI Communications (5WPR) is relocating its headquarters to Florida — one of the more aggressive geographic bets by a Top U.S. PR agency since the pandemic-era migration south. The firm already has 35 people on the ground across Miami and Tampa, with additional team members from New York and other locations relocating in the coming weeks.

The offices: 100 SE 2nd Street, Floor 38 in Miami. 110 South 12th Street in Tampa. Leigh Ann Ambrosi, 5WPR's Managing Partner and Executive Vice President, Consumer Lifestyle, leads Florida operations, based in Tampa. Chris Thatcher, Senior Vice President, leads the Miami office. Additional senior practitioners are relocating from 5W's New York office.

Florida is where American business is moving. The list of firms and founders that have relocated or built major footprints in Miami, Palm Beach, and Tampa over the last five years runs from Blackstone and Citadel to Point72, ARK, Icahn Enterprises, and Jeff Bezos. Capital, founders, and media have followed. So has consumer brand headquarters and technology hiring. 5W's move brings the AI Communications Firm into the market its clients are building in.

Multiple long-term 5WPR employees have relocated as part of the move, supported by generous relocation packages. In parallel, 5WPR is receptive to senior practitioners — SVPs, EVPs, and Managing Directors — at other agencies who want to relocate to Florida, and is offering relocation bonuses for qualified hires.

The move reflects two structural bets. First, that Florida — Miami and Tampa in particular — is where a growing share of American capital, founders, and consumer brands are building. Second, that the discipline of communications is shifting toward the AI engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews — where a growing share of buyers now begin product research.

"Florida is where our clients are building," Ambrosi said. "The state has become the fastest-growing business market in America — new residents, new headquarters, new capital, all landing here. Population growth leads the country. Business relocations lead the country. We are very excited about the future of our business all over — and especially in Florida. We are approaching our 25-year anniversary, and view Florida as a key growth market."

The AI Hiring Standard

5W is hiring five GEO & PR Coordinators immediately across the two Florida markets. These are the first hires under the standard the firm announced in May, following the University of Central Florida commencement where graduates booed a speaker for calling AI "the next industrial revolution." 5W committed publicly that it would not hire any graduate who participated in the boo, and that 100% of 2026 hires must be AI intellectually curious.

"The chatbox is the new checkout. Florida is the new address," said founder and chairman Ronn Torossian.
