AEO Services Cost: $50 Tools to $15,000+ Agency Programs
AEO services cost from $50 a month for a self-run tracking tool to $15,000 or more a month for a full-service agency program, according to published provider pricing checked November 5, 2026. HubSpot lists its AEO tool at $50 a month standalone, and managed programs that also build off-site authority are reported at $3,000 to $10,000 a month. Sources sell AEO themselves, so treat the ranges as provider claims.

AEO pricing follows how much of the work a buyer hands off. A tool you run yourself costs tens of dollars a month, a managed program costs thousands, and a full-service agency engagement costs more still.
HubSpot lists its AEO tool at $50 a month standalone, with 25 tracked prompts.
Managed programs that also build off-site authority are reported at $3,000 to $10,000 a month by one provider, and full-service work at established agencies begins near $10,000.
HubSpot's own guide puts agency programs at over $15,000 a month at the top end.
No independent benchmark exists, so compare quotes on prompts tracked, pages changed and exclusions.
How Much Do AEO Services Cost per Month?

What Does an AEO Tool Cost per Prompt?
An AEO tool costs roughly $1 to $2 per tracked prompt per month at the entry level. A tracked prompt is one question the tool asks the AI engines on a schedule and records the answer to, so the price per prompt is the fairest way to compare tools.

HubSpot's pricing page describes its AEO allowance as 25 prompts, each run daily across 3 engines, for 2,500 answers a month. At $50 a month that is $2.00 per tracked prompt, or $1.80 on the annual price of $45, by Everything-PR's arithmetic. It is also about $0.02 per answer generated.
EPR's GEO services cost guide reports Otterly.AI list prices of $29 a month for 15 prompts and $489 a month for 400 prompts, as of October 13, 2026. That works out to about $1.93 and $1.22 per prompt. Tools differ in the engines they cover and how often they run, so a lower price per prompt is only a better deal when the coverage matches.
What Do Managed AEO Programs and Agencies Charge?
Managed AEO programs charge thousands of dollars a month because the fee pays for people who rewrite pages and build coverage, not for software. Lean Labs reports $3,000 to $10,000 a month for managed programs that also build off-site authority, and about $10,000 and up for full-service engagements at established B2B agencies.
HubSpot's guide to AEO costs describes the same spread, from roughly $30 a month for a monitoring tool to over $15,000 a month for a full-service agency program. Lean Labs also cites HubSpot's packaging guidance for partner agencies of $3,000 to $6,000 a month for ongoing AI search optimization, or $7,000 to $12,000 for a six-week sprint, which Everything-PR has not independently checked.
Ranges this wide mean the monthly fee alone says little. The deliverables behind the fee decide the value.
Why Do AEO Quotes Vary So Widely?
AEO quotes vary because the work behind them varies. Five factors explain most of the gap between a $50 tool and a $15,000 program.
The number of questions tracked, which sets how much software and analyst time the monitoring needs.
The number of pages rewritten each month, since each page needs a question heading, a direct answer and sourced facts.
The number of AI engines covered, because tracking Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot costs more than tracking one.
Whether off-site work is included, such as getting independent sources to describe the brand consistently.
Whether reporting is included, with a fixed question set and repeated runs, or only a one-time snapshot.
Is AEO Priced Differently From GEO?
AEO and GEO are priced differently because they are different work. AEO prices a page-level job, rewriting pages so each question has a quotable answer. GEO prices an entity-level job, getting a brand named across a category through earned media and independent corroboration.
The labels are not used consistently in the market. Many providers sell one package and call it AEO, GEO or both, so a quote's name tells a buyer little. EPR's comparison of AEO, GEO and SEO gives a seven-question test for what an agency is delivering, and its guide to what AEO is defines the page-level work. As a rule of thumb from published sources, tool-led AEO starts far below the $10,000 to $50,000+ a month that EPR's GEO cost guide estimates for mid-sized and larger agency programs, because GEO programs usually include earned media.
How Do You Compare Two AEO Quotes?
Compare two AEO quotes by putting them on the same units: questions tracked, pages changed, engines covered and what is billed on top. Two quotes with the same monthly price can cover very different amounts of work.
Ask how many questions will be tracked and who chooses them.
Ask how many pages will be rewritten or created each month, in numbers.
Ask which engines are covered, including Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.
Ask whether tracking software is included or billed separately.
Ask what reporting looks like, and whether the question set stays fixed so results can be compared month to month.
Ask what happens at the end of the term, including who keeps the content and the tracking data.
Here is a hypothetical example, not market data. A $4,000 program that rewrites 8 pages and tracks 50 questions costs $500 per page changed. A $6,000 program that rewrites 10 pages and tracks 100 questions costs $600 per page but tracks twice as many questions. Neither number alone shows which is the better value, which is why the units matter. For wider questions to ask any provider, see EPR's buyer's framework for choosing a PR firm.
What Does AEO Cost In-House?
In-house AEO costs the tool subscription plus staff time. The subscription can be as low as $50 a month, but a person still has to review the results, rewrite pages and keep facts consistent.
Attrock, an agency that publishes AEO pricing guidance, puts the average U.S. SEO specialist's pay at about $86,000 a year, or roughly $7,000 a month, and suggests counting the share of that time AEO takes. That is one provider's estimate. The practical point is that a $50 tool with no owner produces reports and no change, so the real cost is the hours someone commits.
Published figures run from about $30 to $50 a month for a tracking tool to $15,000 or more a month for a full-service agency program. Managed programs are reported at $3,000 to $10,000 a month.
How much does HubSpot AEO cost?
HubSpot lists the standalone AEO tool at $50 a month, or $45 a month billed annually, with 25 tracked prompts run daily across three engines. AEO is also included in Marketing Hub Professional at $800 a month and Enterprise at $3,600 a month, per HubSpot's pricing page.
Is AEO cheaper than GEO?
Tool-led AEO usually costs less than agency GEO programs, which EPR estimates at $10,000 to $50,000+ a month for mid-sized and larger agencies. The two are different work, so a lower price does not mean the same deliverable.
Can a small business do AEO without an agency?
Yes. A small team can rewrite its priority pages as direct, sourced answers and track a fixed set of questions with a low-cost tool, as long as someone owns the work each month.
Does any provider guarantee AI citations?
No provider can guarantee a citation in an AI answer. Treat a quote that promises guaranteed placement as a reason to look elsewhere.
How long before AEO shows results?
EPR has no sourced benchmark for a timeline. Set a baseline on a fixed question set, make the changes, and re-measure after a full quarter, because answers vary between runs.
What should an AEO quote include?
A written scope with the number of questions tracked, pages changed, engines covered, reporting frequency, exclusions and who keeps the content at the end of the term.
