The Maine Bureau of Highway Safety (MeBHS) is seeking a Sports Marketing company. They seek an agency able to provide marketing in professional sports settings promoting Maine Bureau of Highway Safety programs.  The chosen agency will assist the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety in promoting all traffic safety focus areas in the state of Maine. The dedicated vendor will target sports audiences throughout the state of Maine. The MeBHS seeks to primarily enhance awareness of the importance of traffic safety programs and reach Teen, Tween (Pre-licensed) Driver Education and Awareness related to occupant protection, distracted driving and impaired driving. They think sports is an excellent manner in which to raise awareness. The agency will be responsible to:
  1. Negotiate sponsorship opportunities with Maine sport teams including professional sport teams, college sport teams, high school sport teams, and racing venues.
  2. Organize a highway safety night for each team’s venue that includes a promotion that rewards drivers who are buckled up as they enter the event’s parking lot
  3. Ensure MeBHS logos are included and prominently displayed on schedule posters for selected teams and/or venues. This includes high schools around the State of Maine.
  4. Develop and place MeBHS safety messages on all sponsored sports teams’ websites.
The Core of the MeBHS sports marketing program is conducting events at various sporting events throughout the state of Maine in order to interact with sporting fans about the importance of traffic safety issues. Events are conducted at various High School Sporting Events, Maine professional sports team events and various Maine automobile racing facilities throughout the state. The events are used to promote traffic safety and the awarded Bidder will use educational materials in order to gain the interest of fans to come to the event booth and talk with employees.
