A.Scope: General Requirement
The selected agency will:
1. 1. Serve as the University’s partner for planning, executing, and evaluating earned media strategies.
2. Develop story ideas, media materials, and pitches targeted to national outlets and key industry publications.
3. Coordinate outreach and secure coverage that aligns with the University’s strategic priorities, the President’s Office, and the Division of Digital Transformation & Technology.
4. We anticipate that the scope of work will expand over the 2025–26 fiscal year to include stories highlighting the university’s transformation.
The selected agency will not:
1. 5. Focus on local or regional media development; this is the responsibility of University Communications.
B.Specific Deliverables
At minimum, the Contractor shall:
1. 1. Develop and pitch three (3) featured topics that highlight ODU’s use of artificial
intelligence research and practice in:
1. 1. Clinical drug developmentMaritime securityCoastal health and resilience forecasting
2. Advise on messaging, positioning, and key talking points to support national recognition.
3. Provide monthly progress updates and a final report summarizing placements, impressions, and outcomes.
