Texas University Marketing RFP Issued
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) was established in 1891 as the state’s first academic medical center and has three major components: patient care, education, and research. It is also part of the University of Texas system and a member of the Texas Medical Center. The main UTMB campus is located in Galveston and is anchored by the John Sealy hospital, a Level 1 tertiary teaching hospital with 468 beds. The new Jennie Sealy hospital is opening Spring 2016 on the Galveston campus.
In 2014, UTMB acquired the Angleton-Danbury Medical Center, a community hospital located in Angleton, TX. Once a new short-stay hospital with ER is completed in the Fall of 2015, League City, TX will become the third UTMB campus. In addition to the hospitals and clinics located at each campus, UTMB has been expanding its primary and specialty care clinic locations in Galveston and in the counties it serves on the mainland.
The University seeks a general marketing company to review consumer perception, image positioning tracking and more. The current specific assignment seeks primarily to “conduct a quantitative market study” which is intended to “track the health system’s service positioning and reputational image within its market.”Proposal shall include recommendation for integrating historical trend data with the analysis that will be done by the Respondent so that trending can be continued, regardless of methodology or previous supplier used.
