TOWN OF MOULTONBOROUGH SEEKS MARKETING FIRM

The Town of Moultonborough is seeking proposals from qualified firms who are interested to provide a multiyear marketing and advertising plan for the Town of Moultonborough.

Background:

The Board of Selectmen, through a number of discussions, desires to hire a professional marketing and advertising firm to assist them in promoting the Town of Moultonborough as a high quality, desirable community for individuals and families to live in. Moultonborough is a Lakes Region community on the northern shore of beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Located in northern New Hampshire on the western edge of Carroll County, Moultonborough is bound in part by Lake Winnipesaukee in the southwest and Squam Lake in the northwest corner. Moultonborough is roughly two hours from Boston, two hours from Portland, Maine, four hours from Montreal, seventy-five minutes from Manchester, NH and an hour from Concord, NH. It serves as the gateway to the White Mountains and is in close proximity to other outdoor recreation areas in the region.

The Town has a total area of 74.6 square miles, of which 59.5 square miles is land and 15.1 square miles is water, comprising 20.29% of the Town, shoreline of almost 66 miles, almost 300 miles of roadway, a year-round population of just over 4,000 residents, and a summer population of 25,000+. Moultonborough is a residential and vacation community, with commercial and industrial development primarily limited to the Route 25 Corridor. Moultonborough supports its own K-12 school district and has the eighth lowest property tax rate in New Hampshire.

Scope of Work:

The objective of this Request for Proposal is to enter into a contract for two years (May 1, 2018 -April 30, 2020) with an option to renew in one-year increments through 2023 upon agreement of both parties.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The selected agency will work closely with the Board of Selectmen and the Town Administrator to identify a “brand” or identity for the community and to be used consistently throughout the campaign. The Goals of the project include:

• Attract young adults and families to Moultonborough;
• Retain the young population that currently exists in the community after graduating from high school or college;
• Attract new businesses with full time, year-round employment opportunities for young professionals, skilled manufacturing workers, and mid-level to high technology positions.
