Business Finland is part of the Team Finland network. www.businessfinland.com Business Finland Oy is looking for dynamic PR services for Visit Finland and related industries in France. As food, design, lifestyle and entertainment are an essential part of travel, we cooperate with these industries at Business Finland and have joint PR needs. However, the chosen service provider will be expected to handle media relations for other industries of Business Finland as well, if needed. Target Market: The target market is France. Related industries: Food, Design, Lifestyle and Entertainment industries.

Scope of Work:

Business Finland Oy is looking for dynamic PR services for Visit Finland and related industries in France. Successful PR service include:

media relations services in securing best coverage for Business Finland, PR strategies, network and promotional activities;
coordination and local support for Business Finland according to local requirements. Local PR activities are executed in cooperation with Business Finland. Business Finland provides a designated contact person for managing and coordinating the PR cooperation. The focus of Visit Finland’s and related industries’ PR actions will be on delivering relevant messages and initiatives to the media in the target market. Emphasis is put on TV and film productions, daily newspapers, online publications, tabloids, blogs and social media. Visit Finland’s main target markets are: UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, USA, Russia, China (incl. Hong Kong), Japan and South Korea. The target audience for Visit Finland on aforementioned markets is well travelled and well educated individuals who are looking for new and authentic experiences on their travels and who are interested in food and design, cultural experiences, health and wellness, as part of their travel experience. Services for Visit Finland and related industries must include:
a) networking:

— act as the primary contact for local press and media enquiries and source out suitable travel and related media (press, TV & film productions, KOL’s) reaching the target audiences, — primary contact and consultant on all PR-related matters in the target market, — contact and proactively pitch Finland story ideas to key media in the target market, — create, maintain and update a relevant media database for the purposes of the Business Finland;

b) standard activities:

— create and distribute up to 13 newsletters and/or press releases per year for key media (travel and related media and travel trade) in the target market, — translate and distribute press material provided by Business Finland, — Support Business Finland marketing campaigns with PR functions for example by inviting media to already established events, putting together PR proposals for campaigns, distributing campaign related press materials and vetting participants for marketing campaigns, — liaising with stakeholders such as Business Finland and Visit Finland’s representatives, Finnish Embassy and tour operators;

c) press trips:

— invite top-tier journalists, TV and film productions and/or KOL’s that reach target audience for individual (approx.12/per year) and group press (approx. 3/per year) trips to Finland, — coordinate the press trips in cooperation with Business Finland, — visit Finland staff, — accompanying and hosting the group media trips, — report the outcomes of the press trips;

d) PR Events:

— organizing and hosting 1-2 PR events per year in cooperation with Business Finland, — visit Finland staff, — invite media and host events, — report the outcomes of the PR events;

e) reporting:

— monitorand create a monthly media coverage report Business Finland, — visit Finland expects PR Agency to use given template for media reporting and to use a media monitoring service (must be included in the monthly fee), — create an annual media coverage report by using given template for media reporting, — provide follow-up on press trips and PR event results in a report format, — provide report on press releases and newsletters all services listed above should include in the monthly fee (Appendix 2). However, the chosen service provider will be expected to handle media relations for other industries of Business Finland as well, if needed. Media relations provided for the other industries of Business Finland will be based on the separate prices (Appendix 2). Business Finland does not commit itself to any minimum purchase obligations.
