Title: Creative Economy Strategic Communications Partner

RFP-24-006

Scope: Key Activities:

• Create a communications campaign strategy, including vision, goals, and timeline.

• Create and distribute branded materials for on-site use and public visibility.

• Collaborate with CAC on the co-creation and distribution of all communications content, including:

o Invitations, flyers, and email blasts;

o Social media toolkits and posts;

o Website design, brand, and content updates;

o Partner outreach kits; and

o Community follow-up messages.

• Produce up to three toolkits in support of community engagement and creative economy strategic planning. These should include effective strategies, templates, and lessons learned for creative sector field campaigns and planning efforts.

• Support website development.

• Coordinate photography/video documentation of events and manage usage rights.

• Document and produce multi-media stories that highlight local partner voices, creative workers, local and regional approaches, and an overview of the tour itself.

• Attend regular check-ins with CAC project lead/team and other contractors.

• Support other contractors’ work as it aligns with this scope of work and in service to promoting conversations and engagement around California’s Creative Economy Plan.

• Other activities as determined by CAC.

Deliverables:

• Statewide Tour communications campaign plan with content calendar.

• Full suite of event materials (digital + print), including multilingual options based on the needs of each region.

• Website.

• Social media templates, newsletter language, press release drafts.

• Visual documentation package (photos, clips, graphics).

• Communications Toolkit – including templates (emails, flyers, social posts), comms strategies, and outreach tips for the Statewide Campaign.

• Creative Economy Planning Toolkit.

• 3–5 multi-media stories featuring local communities, collaboration and partnership, culturally-based practice, and innovation.

• Addendum report design and other accompanying materials for public accessibility.
