1.Media relations & outreach

1. Manage ongoing media relations outreach with local, regional, and national media outlets

Writing and distribution of press release for CSSD and partners

Build relationships with local journalists with particular attention to those with business and economic development beats

Facilitate collaborative storytelling with other Camden or South Jersey organizations

Identify upcoming major regional events/stories and create tie-ins for Camden

Suggest social media partnerships, influencers, and post ideas based on work

2.Media Calendar

2. In collaboration with CSSD staff, build a monthly calendar for pitching, press releases, and opportunities

Identify seasonal tie ins with Camden businesses, such as Black History Month, Mothers Day, summer fun, etc.

3.Reporting

3. Quarterly strategy reviews and performance assessments

Meet with CSSD staff to discuss projects and strategies as needed
