Chicago Suburb In Seek of Marketing Agency
The Village of Elburn (the Village) is currently seeking a qualified company to rebrand the Village of Elburn including creatively designing a new logo and motto for the Village of Elburn. The purpose of a new logo and motto is to promote branding and marketing of the Village and to have an identity that residents, visitors, and prospective developers will be able to recognize.
Background:
The Village of Elburn is a community of approximately 6,000 residents. Located in the heart of Chicago‘s western suburbs, Elburn is situated in central Kane County with access to 1-88, Route 38, and Route 47. Elburn has been traditionally considered “that small town” between Geneva and DeKalb, getting passed by on the way to another destination. The current Village logo uses symbolism to reflect our Route 47 downtown main street, the emerald necklace of surrounding streams, and the desire of Elburn to allow people to reside in Elburn from cradle to grave (circle of life). Although this logo depicts the feel of the Village, the design is not conducive to being used as a branding and marketing tool. The current motto is “Melior non Maior” (Better not bigger).
Scope of Work:
The Village is looking for effective branding that can turn our community into a destination community that will not only benefit the Village, but also benefit our residents and local businesses. The logo and motto shall be designed in a way that would allow it to be used in various formats on entrance signs, water towers, business cards, website, and any other identifying material that will bear the Village of Elburn name. Inorder to modernize the branding of the Village, and give our community an identity, a simple, easy to reproduce logo and motto is required.
