Title: Communications, Marketing, and Support Services
Scope: Task 1 – Ongoing Communications and Marketing Support
The consultant will provide ongoing communications and marketing support to the District to help build awareness of the District’s key focus areas. The consultant will support the following subtasks in coordination with the District:
Subtask 1 – Meet monthly with District to advise staff on appropriate and timely communications and marketing strategy including: seeking and suggesting opportunities for media partnerships, developing marketing strategy plans, and providing strategy, support, and guidance to identify and secure additional funding.
Subtask 2 – Draft written materials, including press releases, newspaper articles, website language, quarterly e-newsletters, annual reports, and speaking points at the request of the District. Develop visual materials and graphics for external communication including one-pagers, infographics, slide presentations, and monthly web banners and visuals in WordPress for the District website.
Subtask 3 – Conduct one annual, half-day meeting with District staff for communications and media planning.
Task 2 – Materials Development
The consultant will work with District staff to develop marketing materials related to key messaging and focus areas.
Subtask 1 – Develop marketing materials for up to 12 of the District’s key messages and focus areas. Materials may include brochures, web and social media graphics, and printed materials such as banners or posters.
Subtask 2 – Create up to five (5) videos based on key messages and focus areas, to be used for social media, website, and general marketing. Videos should be tailored to a broad audience.
Task 3 – Social Media Planning
While District staff will continue to oversee the District’s social media accounts includingFacebook, [https://www.facebook.com/NorthGaWater/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/northgawater/], Twitter, [https://twitter.com/northgawater] LinkedIn [https://www.linkedin.com/company/northgawater/] and YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8JrNYkjKP7XwALdrtx8Rgw], the consultant will provide strategic planning and develop relevant messaging.
Subtask 1 – Create monthly social media plan (Word document), and upload 3-4 scheduled posts per week; work in any relevant, newsworthy posts as needed.
Consultant will follow the District’s social media planning calendar.
Subtask 2 – Identify up to four regional themes relevant to the District’s jurisdictions (e.g., drought, infrastructure, etc.), for District review. Once selected, cross-promote, post relevant water news, etc. on those themes through District social media accounts throughout the calendar year.
Task 4 – Additional Support (Task Order)
The District may request specific task order pricing for items not included in Tasks 1 or
2. A budget of up to $15,000 is allocated for this task. These items may include but are not limited to the following:
– Other services that support the District’s key messaging initiatives not included in Task 1.
