Hero Marine’s Non-Profit Is Seeking Pro-Bono PR Agency

John Basilone Foundation

The Sergeant John Basilone Foundation – dedicated to a heroic Marine who was a gunnery sergeant that received the nation’s highest military award for valor, the Medal of Honor, for heroism during World War II – is looking for a Public Relations Agency able to help them on a pro-bono basis to help them spread the word about what they do.

The Sgt John Basilone Foundation is New York based, and honors Basilone’s memory. They also help fund Marines in need.

Actor Jon Seda played Basilone in the 2010 hit HBO miniseries, The Pacific.  Basilone was the only Marine to receive both the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross in World War II. On the first day of the Battle of Iwo Jima, he was killed in action.  He has military locations and a United States Navy destroyer named after him – and the U.S. Postal Service issued the “Distinguished Marines” stamps honoring four Marine Corps heroes including Basilone.
