Marketing Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the annual GQA marketing and communications plan.
• Consult brand presence across all channels (digital, print, PR, etc.).
• Coordinate advertising, promotions, and campaign rollouts.
• The term of the resulting agreement will be for three (3) years, with two (2)optional one-year extensions at the sole discretion of the Gaslamp Quarter Association (GQA).
• Report on performance analytics monthly to the Executive Director.
Event Planning & Production
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute three(3) distinct events annually, each with:
o Detailed pre-event and post-event budgets.
o Permits, security, traffic plans, and vendor coordination.
o Sourcing of talent, contractors, and production support.
o Stakeholder coordination and real-time troubleshooting.
• Present event updates at GQA board and committee meetings.
Public Relations & Media Outreach
• Draft and distribute press releases.
• Develop and maintain a media contact database.
• Pitch to media outlets and coordinate coverage opportunities.
• Organize press briefings and media support at events.
• Provide post-campaign/media impact reports.
• Support crisis communication efforts when necessary.
Sponsorship Development
• Create sponsor decks and outreach strategies.
• Secure event sponsors and manage partner relationships.
• Fulfill activation agreements and post-event reporting.
• Assist with sponsor retention and renewals.
Innovation & Emerging Practices in Event Marketing and PR
• Proposers are encouraged to demonstrate familiarity with:
o Hybrid and virtual event integration.
o Real-time analytics for event and marketing ROI.
o Accessibility and inclusive technology.
• Provide examples or case studies showing implementation.
