MiraCosta College, Career Education Branding & Marketing Campaign

MiraCosta College, Career Education Branding & Marketing Campaign

Purpose:

The goal of this project is to define and raise awareness among prospective community college and high school students as well as their influencers, key stakeholders (i.e. Employers and local industry), and others about the variety of programs offered at MiraCosta College. The branding and marketing campaign should help to distinguish the college’s credit career education programs (CE) from its noncredit and not-for-credit offerings. Additionally, the campaign should motivate and increase enrollment in MiraCosta’s Career education programs.

Scope of Work:

The MiraCosta Community College District (District) includes Oceanside, Carlsbad, La Costa, Encinitas, Olivenhain, Rancho Santa Fe, Cardiff by the Sea, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Carmel Valley. With its coastal location, beautiful campuses, and strong academic programs, MiraCosta College attracts students from throughout San Diego County, the state, and the country as well as from abroad.

The District is seeking proposals from qualified firms to develop a Districtwide marketing plan that can coordinate with the regional and statewide plans in providing branding and marketing services for Career Education. The project is seeking a marketing professional/agency that provides a wide range of services including, but not limited to, project management, media buys, social media ad design, baseline awareness survey research, focus group testing, collateral material development, video development, and website enhancements.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) outlines basic requirements for services to be provided. The District is the client and may elect to use in-house services and resources, including students and staff, for all or part of the project. The District’s Public Information Office will be the firm’s point of contact throughout the contract and, in conjunction with the dean and associate dean of career education, will coordinate the professional services required of the firm. The term for the agreement will be for one (1) year with an option to renew if mutually agreed upon by the District and the firm.
