Three Leave DKC/O&M to Start New Broadway PR Firm
Three leaders of the respected Broadway PR firm, DKC/O&M left recently to form a separate firm – Grapevine Public Relations. Chelsea Nachman, Molly Barnett (VP), and Andy Snyder (creative director) left their work at Rick Miramontez’ firm. The new agency will specialize in theatrical talent representation rather than shows, but they will be full-service. They open their doors with contracts to represent Billy Porter, Blair Brown, Jeanine Tesori, Jessie Mueller, Cyndi Lauper, and Kait Kerrigan, and more.
Barnett said: “We’re excited to take our years of experience working with some of the best Broadway shows to focus more on the best Broadway talent. There are so many incredibly talented artists working in New York City, and we’re eager to work even more closely with actors, writers, and directors and beyond.”
Mike DeVilling Becomes New Sr. Partner in Finn Partners Detroit
Mike Devilling, who has been well-known in Detroit PR circles for years, joined Finn Partners Detroit office as a senior partner. DeVilling will report to the agency’s managing partner, Dan Pooley and will be in charge of new business development, content variety, media relations, client service and counsel, and management services. DeVilling has been running his agency for the last nine years. He also worked at John Bailey & Associates in Detroit, most recently there as an EVP.
Tom Reno Becomes New COO at Cohn & Wolfe
Tom Reno brings an impressive resume having worked previously for 42 West (COO & CFO), Ogilvy PR (EVP and Corporate Practice Leader), and Hill+Knowlton (EVP and GM of New York office). Cohn & Wolfe is part of the WPP group, as also are Ogilvy PR and H+K. In Reno’s new position he will lead IT, legal, real estate, and HR operations work. He’ll be stationed in New York City and report to the CEO, Donna Imperato.
Tourism New Zealand Chooses M Booth for North American Rep
Tourism New Zealand wants to attract more North Americans to their shores, and so they recently hired M Booth to help them accomplish that objective. M Booth will replace the previous PR agency, DQMPR. The work to be done will include earned media, PR activations, and partnerships with Jon Paul Buchmeyer (EVP) overseeing the efforts. One of the PR firm’s prime objectives is to get people to take the step of shifting New Zealand from their “bucket lists” with an upgrade to “must do!”
Adam North Becomes North 6th Agency’s SVP of Global Sales
North 6th Agency (N6A) recently hired Adam North to become their senior vice president of Global Sales working with their New York and Toronto offices. North will report to CEO, Matt Rizzetta, and he will be in charge of sales and business development, partnership strategies, CRM, marketing automation infrastructure, enterprise sales efforts, lead generation and demand generation channel strategies and other leadership work.
