Polk County Visitors & Convention Bureau Seeks Marketing Firm
Purpose:
Provide professional advertising and related marketing service for the Polk County Sports Marketing, Polk County Visitors & Convention Bureau and Tourist Development Council.
Background:
Polk County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for professional advertising and related marketing services for the Tourist Development Council: Central Florida’s Polk County Visitors & Convention Bureau and Polk County Sports Marketing.
Scope of Work:
Tourist Development Program
Participate in development of annual and long range marketing plans including branding and positioning, product development, creative advertising strategies and recommended media mix. Services shall include, design and production of print, outdoor, online and broadcast advertisements, and collateral materials.
Research and develop special promotions to stimulate tourism industry sales directed at consumer, trade, sports and international marketing, including creating co-operative advertising opportunities between the Tourist Development Council and its private sector industry partners.
The approximate annual budget range for these services is $200,000 – $250,000, which covers agency compensation. The cost for media purchase and collateral printing is not included in this figure and is paid by Tourism and Sports Marketing directly to media and printing organizations.
Work to be performed under the resulting agreement will be identified through work authorizations initiated by the County. A detailed scope of work is to be provided by the County to the successful Proposer who then shall have three (3) days to review and add/delete details or time. The resulting approved work authorization shall include details of the project, projected time to complete for each phase along with a not to exceed amount. No work shall be performed until a purchase order is issued.
The County shall request the services on an as-needed basis. There is no guarantee that any or all of the services described in this agreement will be assigned during the term of this agreement. Further, the Firm is providing these services on a nonexclusive basis. The County, at its option, may elect to have any of the services set forth herein performed by other Firms or County staff.
