LMCG holds an annual conference, the Library Marketing and Communications Conference. 2024 will be our 10th anniversary conference.

LMCG is seeking a graphic designer to rebrand our organization with two interrelated logos, one for the not-for-profit group and another for the annual conference. Two examples of this type of branding include FedEx and The Communications Network / ComNet. This RFP is for a quote to provide the concept, development, design, layout and production of two logos – Library Marketing and Communications Group and the conference – and brand guidelines that include color and font families.
Timeline:
● Accept quotes/bids from March 7-April 7, 2024.
● Stakeholder branding survey (to attendees, potential attendees, sponsors) in April 2024.
● Review and decide on a vendor by May 1, 2024.
● Rebranding kickoff meeting with vendor and Rebranding Committee May 2024.
● All deliverables in hand by August 1, 2024.
Scope of work to include:
● Concept, design, layout, and production of logos for LMCG and LMCC, as well as brand guidelines including fonts and colors.
● Rebranding Committee will supply brand keywords and messages based on stakeholder survey and small group discussion. Rebranding Committee will also share examples of logo elements that we like and don’t like to guide designer.
● Input and direction will be supplied by the LMCG Rebranding Committee. Designer will liaise with a consistent point of contact with that committee to create final deliverables.
● Designer will present up to eight first round options and then refine the selected direction.
● Final deliverables will include multiple electronic formats suitable for use across all internal and external media applications, including native Illustrator files.
● Final deliverables also include brand guidelines outlining proper use of logo, brand fonts, brand color palette, and more with guidance from Rebranding Committee.
● Up to 3 brand applications, including a mockup of the website home page, a sample Facebook header, and an event graphic.
● Price includes 2-3 rounds of moderate revisions during the design and production stages.
● All meetings can be held virtually, via Zoom or a similar platform, with the LMCG board and stakeholders.
Successful proposals will include:
● Background and experience.
● Samples of work from similar types of projects.
● Proposed project approach, process, and deliverables.
● Proposed budget for project.
Review process: The Rebranding Committee will review bids based upon (in order or priority): Cost, Quality of work as demonstrated by proposal, work samples, and references by other customers.
