Instead of spending millions on a 30-second TV ad to be run during one of the most prominent events of the year, they tried a social media campaign. They launched what they referred to as a “mockumentary-style Internet video campaign” called Go Granny that resulted in a 500% increase in .CO sales for Network Solutions.

Goldman’s Facebook Valuation Challenged by Semantic Technology

Goldman Sachs and other investors want you to believe Facebook is valued at $50 billion. But somehow the numbers and the news just don’t add up. Scientists at hakia launched a stock analysis tool two weeks ago called SENSEnews which indicates Facebook’s value at only $14 billion. Or about the same earnings to value ration as Microsoft and other successful companies. Why does Goldman want you to believe the $50 billion number? That should be painfully obvious by now.

Facebook Poised to Overtake Google

Would you be surprised if the headlines tomorrow read; “Facebook Supplants Google as the World’s Most Popular Search Engine?” Some people would obviously, but the idea is not really all that far fetched. Some 600 million people use Facebook to do everything but wash the dishes in the kitchen sink. Using it for search is a growing value that takes away from Google’s strength every time a user clicks search on Facebook.
