Ketchum public relations has announced its leadership transition with Senior Partner and President, Rob Flaherty to become Chief Executive Officer, and Raymond L. Kotcher, Senior Partner and CEO, named new Ketchum Chairman. This transition is part of a multi-year plan to ensure seamless management shifts.
This year’s Ketchum sponsored Young Lions Marketers Competition, challenged 16 teams of young international marketers to develop a creative brief for a product or service that would benefit Room to Read, a global organization aiming to increase literacy and gender equality in education. The Gold Lion was awarded to Afonso Ferreira and Francisca Oliveira of Continente in Portugal.

Ketchum Pleon Germany announced today that it has completed its management transition in Germany. Timo Sieg, managing director in Germany and CEO of Europe, will leave the firm at the end of 2011, and his position will be filled by David Gallagher.
Global public relations player Ketchum has just expanded their operations in India by acquiring the majority stake in one of the countries top PR agencies, Sampark PR. This is the most recent in a acquisition row for Ketchum who has also bought PR businesses from Greater China and Russia.
