Truckee Donner Public Utility Issues Marketing RFP

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (District) intends to solicit the services of a marketing design Consultant to assist in the promotion of the District’s conservation and other programs. The District is looking for a creative firm and team of experienced design professionals to build on past marketing design efforts to help implement very effective conservation and other programs. This includes the design of bill stuffers, media advertisements, program marketing materials, social media images, etc.

Background:

The District has been providing electric and water service to the greater Truckee community since 1927 and prides itself on its involvement in the community through offering numerous customer programs and participating in various organizations, events, and activities.

The District has been providing cash incentives through its conservation rebates and other programs over the last decade to help customers purchase new, energy and water efficiency measures and equipment. The District offers a package of very comprehensive conservation and other programs and requires the assistance of a marketing design Consultant to help continue to develop materials and work with the media and TDPUD staff to promote these programs and other activities.

The District is looking for a creative firm and team of experienced design professionals to build on past marketing design efforts to help implement very effective conservation and other programs. This includes the design of bill stuffers, media advertisements, program marketing materials, social media images, etc.

The annual budgeted cost for a marketing design consultant for 2019 is not to exceed $13,000 plus materials. The District will award a one-year contract through December 31, 2019, with an option to extend, upon mutual consent, for two one-year contracts (option year 1 and option year 2) at the current contract terms and conditions.

Scope of Work:

Required Services:

The services required include but are not limited to the following tasks:

• The electronic design of marketing materials
• Support of District’s marketing and outreach efforts
• Coordinate with the District’s Communications and Outreach Consultant on the timing and placement of ads and marketing materials.
• General marketing design efforts

Submittals:

A consultant must provide, to the District, the following documentation by the tenth (10th) day of each month:

• The consultant will be responsible for billing the District monthly for all communications and outreach services and materials. Invoices must include an itemized list of all time and materials along with a description of the services provided.
