WINONA STATE UNIVERSITY ISSUES COMMUNICATIONS/MARKETING RFP

Purpose:

Seeking a contractor to assist with messaging, designing, and implementing a website to support a “senior care career awareness” campaign and developing complementary social media looks and messages. Messaging and communications should be designed to engage youth and young adults, showcase senior care careers, and drive traffic to the website. The website will include a home page and supporting pages designed to interest youth and young adults in working in the senior care field. Pages may include: resource lists, online tool kits, videos, photos, and text. The website should be appealing to youth with sections that are age-appropriate. The website should also be designed to house materials which will be used by teachers, employers, workforce centers, etc.

Background:

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is the fifth-largest system of higher education in the United States. It is comprised of 31 two-year and four-year state colleges and universities with 54 campuses located in 47 Minnesota communities. The System serves approximately 430,000 students each year. The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is an independent state entity that is governed by a 15 member Board of Trustees. The law creating the system was passed by the Minnesota Legislature in 1991 and went into effect July 1, 1995. The law merged the state’s community colleges, technical colleges and state universities into one system, other than the University of Minnesota campuses. Scope of Work:

The tagline for the website and social media campaign is “Caring Careers Start Here.” This project will done in 2 phases:

  1. Design

2. Implementation

General Criteria Section:

General criteria upon which proposals will be evaluated include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Expressed understanding of project goals, expected outcomes, and scope (15%)
  • Experience with similar institutions and projects (10%)
  • Qualifications of vendor personnel committed to work on project (15%)
  • Capabilities to meet project objectives (10%)
  • Proposed cost structure and work plan (25%)
  • Vendor work samples that illustrate ability to complete comparable work (10%)
  • Overall completeness and thoroughness of RFP response (10%)
  • References (5%)

A presentation and interview may also be part of the evaluation and selection process.
