Publicis Groupe Acquires BBR Group
The transaction follows many years of fruitful collaboration between BBR and Publicis Groupe.
Publicis Groupe, the third largest communications group in the world, offering the full range of services and skills from digital and traditional advertising, public affairs and events, media buying and specialized communication, announced today the acquisition of BBR Group (BBR), an Israel-based network of creative agencies, which offers advertising and communications services.
Yoram Baumann – the head of BBR – will lead Publicis Groupe operations in Israel.
Saatchi & Saatchi and ZenithOptimedia have been a part of BBR Group since 1995. The group is also the parent company of a number of other agency brands, including Regev Kavitzky and Expert, TV content agency C, and media agency Smart Media.
Award-winning BBR Group, which employs 220 professionals, services a broad portfolio of leading Israeli and international clients, including Procter & Gamble; Strauss; Isracard and Super Pharm (retail healthcare).
Publicis Groupe already benefits from a strong presence in Israel through its agencies Publicis Geller Nessis, Leo Burnett, Edologic and Superpush.
With BBR Group integrated, Publicis Groupe – which on the PR side owns MSL Group, Qorvis Communications and others – becomes one of Israel’s leading communications groups, with over 400 employees spread throughout 23 offices, and networks including Saatchi & Saatchi, ZenithOptimedia, Leo Burnett and Publicis Worldwide.
“Today’s deal further underscores our determination to provide the richest possible offer on the Israeli market. The addition of BBR broadens our range of services and ensures our clients can benefit from the best possible work across all capabilities. It also means that BBR will be able to benefit from our Groupe’s international scale and global resources,” explained Publicis Groupe COO and Publicis Worldwide Executive Chairman Jean-Yves Naouri.
BBR Chairman Yoram Baumann also explained that by joining forces with Publicis Groupe, BBR can capitalize on the reach and resources of a global group.
