Jeremy Pelofsky Is Ketchum’s New Corporate Affairs VP and Media Strategist
Reuters News readers are already familiar with Jeremy Pelofsky, a wire news correspondent for Reuters and Bloomberg, who covered financial, corporate and economic matters, legal issues, foreign policy and political campaigns.
He now joined Ketchum’s Public and Corporate Affairs Practice as a vice president and media strategist, and he will serve to enhance the public affairs, media, issues and corporate counsel the company provides to its clients, according to Kathy Jeavons, partner at Ketchum.
Jeremy Pelofsky brings over 15 years of government media experience with Reuters News and Bloomberg News. During his career he covered important issues revolving around the White House, Congress, International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other topics of interest. He also served as the legal and national security correspondent for Reuters News.
Previously, he was a U.S. media and telecommunications policy correspondent at Reuters, serving as the top beat reporter covering topics related to the Federal Communications Commission, including media ownership legislation and rulemaking, corporate mergers, industry bankruptcies and wireless airwaves auctions.
He reported on numerous congressional investigations, including Enron, MCI/WorldCom, Martha Stewart and Ford/Firestone. He also was instrumental in the launch of Reuters’ 2008 political blog, “Tales from the Trail.” Before joining Reuters, Pelofsky reported on the International Monetary Fund and World Bank for Bloomberg News.
