French/West/Vaughan Announces New Creative Head & Additional New Hires
French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s leading independent public relations and brand communications agencies, today announced the hiring of Glen Fellman as Senior Vice President/Chief Creative Officer, with oversight of the agency’s creative and interactive design teams.
In addition, the agency also announced four other new hires and four promotions.
Previously senior vice president/group creative director at Durham, N.C.-based McKinney, Fellman has developed integrated marketing solutions for clients such as Nationwide Insurance, Meijer, Lenovo, Qwest Communications, Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards and Brown-Forman’s Southern Comfort whiskey brand.
Prior to joining McKinney in 2005, Fellman served as associate creative director at Minneapolis-based Carmichael Lynch, creating integrated campaigns for Harley-Davidson, Porsche, Northwest Airlines and American Standard. Prior to joining Carmichael Lynch, he handled senior copywriting duties for pioneering interactive company, MarchFIRST, and was an in-house senior copywriter with Target Corporation’s department store division. Earlier in his career, Fellman worked for several smaller agencies, supporting clients such as Acura, Ford, Lucent Technologies and Wells Fargo.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in film, as well as a Master of Business Administration in entrepreneurship from The University of Liverpool. A board member of the Durham Arts Council, Fellman’s list of creative awards is extensive, including numerous One Show, Effie and American Advertising Federation ADDY awards, as well as a Cannes finalist nomination.

FWV also welcomes Kevin Behan (right) to its sports & entertainment practice as senior account executive; Laurel Streng as agency front-end developer; Katie Jackson as account executive working on clients including Bassett Furniture, O2 Fitness and Wilmington and Beaches CVB; and Laura Wallenta as account executive supporting Wrangler Western, Justin Brands, Inc. and Pendleton Whisky. Behan is the former manager of baseball information for the Baltimore Orioles, and Streng is a former web specialist and graphic designer for the Raleigh News & Observer.
Additionally, the agency announces the following promotions: Katie Johnson to group account director, Claire Simmons to account supervisor, Amy Lacker to account supervisor and Lauren Bristol to account executive.
