Did Bad PR Shut Down the Amy’s Baking Company Nightmare
Amy’s Baking Company in Scottsdale, Arizona recently announced they’re closing their doors. Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, owners of the restaurant, have had a number of very controversial PR moments in the past couple of years, of course as a result of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.
The couple denies negative PR is the reason for them closing up shop – we think they are lying.
Just another happy couple in suburbia going about the business of making a living … or are they. The only people who would consider Amy and Samy “sane” would also say guests on Jerry Springer were just like every other quiet and friendly neighbor on a block.
Amy’s Baking Co. was the only restaurant Ramsay ever walked away from refusing to do anything to help. Hmmmm, just what might the problem be?
Some of the antics pulled by Samy included giving people their order and telling them to go F**K themselves, or recently actually pulling a knife on a customer in front of the restaurant. Turns out, Samy has served prison time overseas for drug and intimidation charges. He has also been banned from France and Germany.
Amy, baker of sweet treats has often sworn at customers. She also has done some time in prison – for misuse of a social security number. It goes on and on – these are insane people.
In a twist of fate, the restaurant property recently changed ownership and was acquired by Bob Parsons, billionaire founder of GoDaddy who recently purchased The Martz Agency, a full-service Marketing and PR agency in Scottsdale, Arizona and changed the name of the firm to The Big YAM, the Parsons Agency
Amy’s is now closing their doors to further business. We think it “couldn’t have happened to a nicer couple.” Not all PR is good PR – and good riddance to Amy’s Baking Company.
