Previously, it had been known as Beckerman and it announced its rebranding at the same time it celebrated its 30th anniversary and consolidated its other subsidiaries, Chicago Digital and Eco Branding. Ironically, Clean Tech Agency, the Antenna Group, was the name of a San Francisco PR firm Beckerman acquired in 2010.

Zakheim also held a senior position in public affairs in the private sector, served a term as councilman in the borough of Paramus, New Jersey, and was the executive director for Jewish Community Relations Council of Central New Jersey.
