Finland-Aalto University Foundation Seeks Public Relations Agency
The university’s Marketing and Brand team is looking for a creative agency that can work as our agency of record, a partner that can work alongside our communications practices and add expertise. The partner should offer scale and support to the university’s core marketing and brand efforts. This includes, but is not limited to: student marketing, graphic design, strategic planning, production support, campaign planning, creating guidelines and protocols, concept creation, brand planning and implementation, technical support and analytics, copywriting and editing, animation, development, UI and UX support.
The role of the agency in this regard is to ensure a cohesive way of working in a dynamic and ever-changing field of higher education, to extend the good efforts of the existing team within the university. The agency should bring forward cutting edge ideas, offer deep analysis and long term co-creation around our various platforms and ways of working.
Background:
Aalto University has a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders with varying needs in terms of communication and collaboration. These range from potential students to research groups, professors to administrative employees, alumni to corporate partners and sponsors, societal influencers and politicians all the way to our highly active start-up community. These stake-holders have varying needs in terms of communications, interacting with each other and collaborating on solving some of the largest issues that Finland and even the global population are facing. We expect our strategic partners to facilitate discussions around, produce material for, and finally put together the daily operational guidelines for effective marketing and brand materials.
The partner will also support the defining of KPI’s to track and report in order to measure the success of those materials, services and campaigns. The partner is expected to concept, consult on, plan and facilitate the implementation of brand and marketing materials, either inhouse or through a chosen subcontractor. The partner is expected to collaborate with Aalto’s internal stakeholders, Aalto’s dedicated project manager, the communications services marketing and brand team as well as other external stakeholders and partners to ensure a successful service level.
Scope of Work:
We expect our strategic partners to facilitate discussions around, produce material for, and finally put together the daily operational guidelines for effective marketing and brand materials. The partner will also support the defining of KPI’s to track and report in order to measure the success of those materials, services and campaigns. The partner is expected to concept, consult on, plan and facilitate the implementation of brand and marketing materials, either inhouse or through a chosen subcontractor. The partner is expected to collaborate with Aalto’s internal stakeholders, Aalto’s dedicated project manager, the communications services marketing and brand team as well as other external stakeholders and partners to ensure a successful service level. This includes, but is not limited to:
— Building and developing the University brand with various marketing and communication actions; consulting on all matters related to marketing and brand as needed and on-demand, with a strong sense of innovative, cost effective solutions to reaching different target audiences.
— Work to help define a visual way of working, helping to plan different look-books of materials (graphic, digital, photography, or animations) and overseeing productions of different scales.
— Consulting in strategic campaign creation and larger communication plans or services; crafting entire creative concepts as well as producing and sourcing, creating international campaigns tri-lingually (Finnish, Swedish, English).
— Marketing of immaterial goods and services with a strong understanding of marketing for young target groups.
— Creating and customizing materials to different digital and non-digital channels, optimizing content to reach diverse target audiences.
— Lead information sessions, offer audits, market research or other data-driven insights to help inform overall strategy.
— A strong focus on digital with an ability to measure, analyze, improve and develop.
— Provide daily and ad-hoc design services as needed with a strong sense of brand and style; the ability to create and help implement guidelines for more operational needs.
