The Helena Public Schools is requesting proposals from professionals interested in refreshing the Helena School District website to become a creative, dynamic website. The refreshed website should reflect the personality not only of the district but also of the Helena community and the state of Montana. The initial build must be completed by 11/30/2019.

Background:

Helena Public Schools foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. The mission of the Helena Public Schools is to challenge and empower each student to maximize individual potential and become a competent, productive, responsible, caring citizen.

This mission will be supported through the wise use of resources to meet students’ needs, regardless of interests and talents.  Students, families, educators and the community are committed to sharing the responsibility for creating a student-centered educational community that acknowledges learning as a life-long process.

  • A comprehensive search feature
  • The ability for visitors to subscribe/unsubscribe to selected newsletters/alerts
  • A searchable staff directory
  • RSS Feeds
  • Website built using WordPress to allow for data transfer from the current site
  • The setup and access to a Google Analytics account
  • Customer-service oriented project management that extends from the design process to site launch
  • Chatbots for district and schools
  • An easy and attractive method of maintaining consistency of team member websites
  • Ability to securely accept online payments
  • Live online discussions for various groups
  • Ability to push information to the public utilizing different channels of communication, i.e. text, email, social media
  • Online registration for events
  • A dynamic calendar searchable by event type
