MARKETING RFP ISSUED FOR DISTRICT OF FRASER-FORT GEORGE

Regional District of Fraser Fort-George 

The Regional District was incorporated in 1967 and is located in the central interior of British Columbia. The Regional District is a federation of four (4) municipalities and seven (7) electoral areas and is governed by a fourteen (14) member board. The Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program promotes opportunities to live, work, and invest in the Robson Valley Region.

The Robson Valley Region is a collection of communities nestled on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in north-central British Columbia, between Prince George, Jasper, and Kamloops. The Robson Valley Region includes: Dome Creek, Crescent Spur, McBride, Dunster, Tête Jaune Cache, and Valemount. Take advantage of all the outdoor activities, nature, fresh air, wildlife, and friendly neighbours that the region has to offer. Our communities provide a great opportunity to step back and enjoy life again.

The Robson Valley Region is a strategy that identifies and capitalizes on the economic opportunities that exist for communities in the Canoe and Robson Valley. This Robson Valley Region is a partnership between the three local governments in the area; Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, Village of McBride and the Village of Valemount.

In 2019, a Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Review and Strategy 2020-2022 was developed that identifies opportunities to strengthen and update the program. This document identifies 22 recommended strategies on how to optimize resources and capitalize on marketing opportunities for the Robson Valley Region Program. In 2020, strategies 1.2, 3.1 and 3.2 were completed.

In 2020, the Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Marketing and Messaging Strategy was developed and now requires implementation.

SCOPE OF WORK

The Regional District is seeking the supply and delivery of marketing and/or economic development services to execute the recommended strategies identified in the Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Review and Strategy 2020 – 2022 and Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Marketing and Messaging Strategy.

The services required under this RFP must include the management and execution of the recommended strategies within the Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Review and Strategy 2020 – 2022 and Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Marketing and Messaging Strategy, for a two-year period, including but not limited to;

• Creative concept development utilizing existing RVR branding, imagery and marketing messaging strategy;

• Contribute to image and video library; 

• Manage social media accounts including, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Linkedin;

• Manage website and content; 

• Manage advertisement/ awareness content through digital ads, relevant websites and print mediums;

• Manage the rebranding of discoverrvr.ca to investrvr.ca

• Establish business ambassador program; 

• Develop and implement asset inventories; 

• Develop sector targeted presentations; 

• Develop and implement events, tradeshows and conference strategy;

• Leverage public relations to generate earned media; 

• Develop and implement tools to track investor, partner and influencer leads;

• Establish and monitor marketing metrics; 

• Scheduled reporting of activities and marketing metrics.

The above must: 

• Align with the objectives and recommended strategies as identified in the Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Review and Strategy 2020 – 2022;

• Align with the objectives as identified in the Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program Marketing and Messaging Strategy; and

• Align with the Robson Valley Region Logo Standards Manual.
