Paycom Employees Give Millions to Nonprofits and Community Organizations in 2023

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become increasingly important in modern business practices. Paycom, a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, upholds a strong commitment to philanthropy and supporting its communities.

Recently, Paycom released its 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility report which outlines its annual community giving efforts. According to the report, the company and its employees donated over $2.3 million to more than 350 organizations across 37 states and Washington, D.C. – more than $220,000 of that coming directly from our employees.

These contributions are part of Paycom’s continuous employee giving program, small grants program, sponsorships and other methods aiming to address fundamental needs and foster a brighter future for all. Each year, Paycom chooses a diverse array of nonprofits, allowing employees to contribute to organizations close to their hearts through the Paycom app.

Here are just a few of hundreds of giving initiatives undertaken by Paycom and its employees in 2023:

  • The Salvation Army: Paycom presented $125,000 to The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma and The Salvation Army of North Texas, continuing its long-standing tradition of providing the largest individual Red Kettle contribution. This money supplied warm winter coats to Oklahomans and Texans and funded the client-choice food pantry.

Captain Russell Clay, area commander of The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma, shared, “Their support is not just appreciated; it is essential. Paycom continues its long-standing tradition of providing our largest individual Red Kettle donation.”

  • National Juneteenth Museum: Paycom, whose Grapevine campus is situated near the museum’s location in Fort Worth, Texas, contributed $50,000 towards its construction. “One of the key hallmarks of this cultural complex is to serve as the epicenter for the awareness and the preservation of Juneteenth history while advancing economic opportunities for underrepresented and emerging minority entrepreneurs in and around the city of Fort Worth,” said Dr. Gleniece Robinson, board chair for the National Juneteenth Museum.
  • Courage Foundation: Through the Burpees for Vets initiative, Paycom pledged $1 for every burpee completed by employees in honor of Veterans Day. Together, $133,963 was raised to aid the foundation’s mission to mitigate and treat post-traumatic stress in veterans. Sid Ellington, executive director of the Courage Foundation, expressed gratitude for Paycom’s involvement, highlighting how it enabled them to reinstate crucial programs affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Oklahoma Women in Technology (OKWIT): Paycom sponsored an OKWIT scholarship for a female high school student pursuing a career in STEM. OKWIT’s mission is to bridge the gap between genders in STEM fields through networking opportunities, while educating and encouraging young women to continue their interest and studies in STEM fields. Alli Rodgers, president of Oklahoma Women in Technology emphasized, “We rely solely on the generosity of donors like Paycom to make our mission a reality.”

In addition to the above, members of Paycom’s 11 employee resource groups (ERGs), which help individuals from different backgrounds connect and find workplace support, inspired increased involvement and financial support of touchstone community events like the Martin Luther King Jr. parade, Festival de Vida y Muerte and more.

Paycom served as the presenting sponsor of OKC PrideFest in downtown Oklahoma City in June 2023. It was at the front of the parade line, leading more than 70 organizations through downtown Oklahoma City and passing out Paycom-branded rainbow fans along the route.

“At Paycom, our unwavering dedication to giving back is deeply rooted in our core values of caring and service,” said Chad Richison, co-CEO, president and chairman. “We take immense pride in championing a diverse range of important causes and are looking forward to continuing our long-standing commitment to fostering meaningful community impact.”

By empowering employees to support causes close to their hearts and partnering with impactful organizations like The Salvation Army, the National Juneteenth Museum, and the Courage Foundation, Paycom exemplifies the positive impact businesses can have on communities.
