PR Happenings at BerlinRosen, FleishmanHillard, Omnicom PR, Global Strategy Group, and MWWPR
Groundbreaking on New York’s Second Highest Skyscraper
BerlinRosen did double duty at the recent groundbreaking ceremonies at 1 Vanderbilt near Grand Central Station in Midtown. The New York PR firm represents the project developer SL Green as well as Mayor Bill de Blasio who was among the dignitaries attending the ceremony. BerlinRosen works with the Mayor’s re-election campaign currently, and if he wins that bid he’ll still be serving in 2020 when the new building is slotted to be completed.
The 1 Vanderbilt project includes building a 58-story tower over 1400 feet tall as well as an overhaul of Grand Central Terminal that’s just across the street, all at the estimated cost of $220 million. They will be renovating and updating the subway platforms and the mezzanine level of the terminal.

MWWPR Issues New Millennial Marketing Report
MWWPR announced their marketing report on their website. The report, “Millennials and Spirits: Influencing the Path of Discovery,” looks at effective marketing to the group regarding the spirits industry. Since the youngest of the “Millennials” reach legal drinking age during 2016, the wine and beer industries are particularly interested in determining what appeals emotionally to this demographic.
Not surprisingly, some of the highest influencing factors come from peers sharing experiences on social media. The research shows that up to 90% of millennials are excited when they discover a new brand of liquor, and as much as 66% of them are so excited they then share it with friends – often via social media.
