The integrated marketing and communications agency Marina Maher Communications appointed four new senior leaders recently to keep up with the evolving industry landscape.

Bed Bath & Beyond, the retail giant that’s currently undergoing a big overhaul after a management shakeup, has started working with the corporate and consumer public relations agency M Booth. The agency will be working on the full range of corporate and consumer public relations for the retailer and its subsidiaries. This move from Bed Bath & Beyond comes after its activist investors started pushing to see bigger company changes. They were struggling to compete with other giants in the industry long before the pandemic.

The developer and gaming operator Rush Street Gaming started working with The Miles Agency for all of its community engagement and public relations needs throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Miles Agency, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is a marketing and public relations firm that was founded in 1989 by Delceno Miles and had over 30 years of experience working with various private and public clients, such as the City of Portsmouth, Coca-Cola, Hampton Roads Transit, Pizza Hut, Hampton University, Virginia Power as well as the United States Navy.

Neil Bluhm and Greg Carlin founded Rush Street Gaming. It has developed with its affiliates and operated many successful casinos across Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Des Plaines, IL, and Schenectady, NY.

Sommerfield Communications Acquired By Allison+Partners

The New York boutique shop specializing in corporate communications, founded over 25 years ago, Sommerfield Communications, was recently acquired by Allison+Partners. This way, the agency can easily expand its financial communications, executive positioning, ESG-related communications, B2B communications, and thought leadership capabilities.

The president of Sommerfield Communications, Frank Sommerfield, will be joining Allison+Partners.
