Rabin Martin, headquartered in New York, with additional offices in Los Angeles, London, and Geneva has been acquired by Omnicom– the first acquisition since Karen Van Bergen stepped in as CEO at Omnicom. RM becomes Omnicom PR’s 11th agency brand bringing their global public healthcare expertise to Omnicom’s already impressive list of credentials.

Jeffrey Sturchio, CEO and President of RM, will continue in his position and report to Van Bergen. He said, “You have an enormous marketplace for public health in emerging markets… our main focus is on building partnerships that can help our clients reach populations they couldn’t reach before and do business in new ways. It improves their corporate reputation and helps them become partners of choice for governments.”

Holmes Report Names Europe’s Top PR Firms

In answer to who brands would pick to do their PR in Europe if not who they currently used, Edelman topped the list gaining more than double the next contender, Ogilvy. In close contention after Ogilvy were Ketchum, Weber Shandwick, and Hill+Knowlton Strategies. However, far and away the voters said they would not choose anyone over their current PR people, some saying they would either go in-house or start their own firm before going with an existing company other than who they currently use.

More companies from the U.K responded than from continental Europe, so local choices in the U.K. fared better, with Blue Rubicon, Hope & Glory, Portland, Lewis PR, and Brunswick being the top five local U.K. firms, and in Europe, the top five local firms were Het PR Bureau (Netherlands), Apple Tree (Spain), Fink & Fuchs (Germany), Barabino (Italy), and FischerAppelt (Germany).

Jenner’s Reps Say No De-transition Happening

Not long after the news came out that Caitlyn Jenner would grace the cover of Sports Illustrated with only the flag draped around her, there came rumors and reports of Jenner’s “transition regret.” Citing sources close to the family, the rumors said Jenner was depressed and regretted his transgender transformation, though happy to have been part of mainstreaming and representing the transgender population.

Jenner’s long-time publicist, Alan Nierob said the latest reports are nonsense and are “flat out not true and extremely harmful.” Other representatives say Caitlyn is happy in her skin, moving forward, and has no plans for any de-transition now, or in coming years.
